Not long after being appointed Swarovski’s first ever creative director in 2020, the uber-cool Giovanna Engelbert set about launching her first designs for the crystal supremo. Among her inaugural range was a bold new collection called the Millenia.
The luxe, eye-catching pieces, with their distinctive octagon cuts in chunky and funky necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, proved to be an immediate hit. Combining quirky designs, vivid colours and Instagram-worthy optics, the audacious Swarovski Millenia collection found a new, younger audience. And a star was born.
For this new-gen consumer seeking fun and versatility, the Millenia delivers. The collection makes a statement, whether worn as striking singular pieces or layered up with multiple strands; its addition elevating any look with ease and elegance.
Engelbert’s inspiration for Millenia was taken from original drawings by the company’s founding father, Daniel Swarovski. For the Austrian-based powerhouse – knee-deep in almost 130-years of crystal jewellery making expertise – the collection is symbolic of the brand’s ethos of blending heritage and innovation.
Since its launch in 2021, the Swarovski Millenia collection continues to evolve, with the introduction of new pieces: from octagonal bangles with horizontally set clear stones, to stunning chokers that highlight Swarovski’s crystal-cutting expertise. New colourways are also available, in sparkling shades of icy blue, aquamarine and sapphire, which join a light green, rosy pink, and lilac, among others.
As the iconic centrepiece in Engelbert’s ongoing rejuvenation of the Swarovski brand, the Millenia collection’s future is clear – crystal clear.
