The stranglehold of the adidas sneaker over the style set doesn’t look to be letting up in 2025. With so many fun colour combinations and now prints, well, why would it?
As we begin to embrace a new wave of dressing, moving away from capsule wardrobes and quiet luxury instead favouring maximalism and personal style, a bold pair of sneakers is the new status quo. And none come bolder than adidas’ new cow print sneakers.

Leopard print reigned supreme in 2024, but if recent runways are anything to go by, our desire for animal patterns are taking a more unique nature this year, making this new style the ultimate it-sneaker.
Whether it’s runway inspiration or culture’s recent obsession with all things country and western, these cow print sneakers are just the latest marker of a growing obsession with the print. The animal print was seen on runways at Dior Cruise ‘24, Gestuz Spring/Summer ‘25 and in collections at Acne Studios, Munthe and Samsøe Samsøe.
It’s not hard to see the sartorial appeal of a cow print piece; it’s neutral enough to pair easily with other wardrobe pieces but erratic and unusual enough in pattern to make a statement.

As for the Adidas sneakers themselves, they’re available in both the Samba and the SL 72, made viral by Wales Bonner’s reimagining of the silhouettes in countless sell-out collaborations.
The new launch is already garnering a lot of buzz, so it’s not to be slept on if you’re considering adding to cart. They’re also currently exclusively available via ASOS, so stock is assumedly limited.
