Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund are reportedly expecting their first child together, according to Instagram comments shared by her mum, Kelly Cunningham. When fans congratulated Kelly, after Us Weekly reported on the pregnancy, she confirmed the news.
“Thank you so much! Very excited,” she responded to one Instagram user. When another asked Kelly if Emma is pregnant, she wrote back, “Yes!!”
The actors were first linked in March 2019, shortly after Roberts and her longtime boyfriend Evan Peters called off their engagement. Previously, Hedlund dated Kirsten Dunst for four years. At first, Roberts and Hedlund were reportedly “just having fun hanging out and hooking up,” neither party “in the right headspace to be in a serious relationship.”
Last year, Roberts opened up about the challenges of dating in the spotlight, telling Cosmopolitan “It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience. Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment. Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story. That’s hard…I know what’s true, and I know what happened in my own life, and so do the people that love me and who I love.”
