Despite having been together for over a decade, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have kept details about their relationship largely private.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, the actress got candid about their marriage, touching on their time in quarantine with their two daughters, six-year-old Hazel and four-year-old Violet.
“Having John’s support is everything because we are each other’s confidant,” the Devil Wears Prada actress said. “That shared understanding has really been a very vital anchor for me.”
Blunt added that the couple’s daughters have been helping them make it through the last several months at home.
“Being around little ones during the pandemic was such a saving grace because they would just be bouncing around the house, and your job is to protect them from what is happening and make sure their life remains joyful,” she said. “That was a pretty great lifeline for John and me during the pandemic, for sure.”
Besides keeping busy with their children, Blunt admits the couple had been cooking and binge-watched Netflix’s The Crown “in three days.”
Blunt also wasn’t the only one gushing about the marriage. Earlier this year, Krasinski praised his wife on the red carpet, telling Entertainment Tonight: “She is without a doubt the most tremendous actress of our time in my opinion.”
“She is the most incredible partner in writing and directing and set designs. She just has such good ideas,” he added. “So I actually felt like I had my partner in all things on set, not just the best actress in the world. Anything I can think of, she makes 10 times better so that’s a pretty good weapon to have on set.”
