The year was 2020 and lockdown had us clamouring to binge-watch the next best thing on television. Luckily for us, Daisy Edgar-Jones and a not-so-little series saved the day.
Indeed, when Normal People dropped on our screens, Edgar-Jones was thrust into superstardom. Her chemistry with chain-wearing king Paul Mescal as they played secret lovers Marianne and Connell was undeniable—they had the locked down world completely hooked.
“People were talking about [my role and the series], but then I’d put my phone down and I was still in my childhood bedroom and nothing in the physical world had changed,” she told marie claire Australia in our August cover story.
“I was being told things had changed [for me], but there was nothing tangible, so it was quite hard to believe.”
In the two years since, Edgar-Jones has become a fully-fledged red carpet darling at various awards and premieres promoting her portfolio of onscreen projects. Her pristine ensembles come courtesy of some of the world’s biggest fashion houses who are glad to dress her. Her enviable fringed ‘do and impeccable makeup looks are the cherry on top.
In other words, Edgar-Jones can do no wrong—and the pictures prove it.
Now, as she graces the screen once again in Where The Crawdad‘s Sing, we’ve been reminded once again of Edgar-Jones’ magnetic appeal. Below, we round up 12 times Daisy Edgar-Jones proved she’s the next big red carpet style muse.
