Kate Middleton has been an official member of the royal family for coming up nine years now and, other than wearing wedges on the odd occasion, the mother-of-three has barely put a foot wrong.

Though rumours about feuds between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been persistent this year, it seems that Kate’s relationship with her grandmother-in-law has never been better than it is now.
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, it comes down to both women making an effort to get to know each other over the years, despite both of them being quite shy in nature.
“Both women are actually quite shy so it’s taken time for them to get to this stage, but they have a very easy relationship now they’ve both made the effort,” Nicholl told OK! magazine, according to the Daily Mail.
“The Queen loves seeing Kate because it’s an opportunity to spend time with her and hear how her great grandchildren are doing.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opted to spend the holidays with Meghan’s family in Los Angeles, so HRH is likely appreciative that Kate and William are going to be around for Christmas so she can spend the day with the children.
“I imagine that spending Christmas at Sandringham with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be something [the Queen is] very much looking forward to,” Nicholl said. “So Kate and William are doing the dutiful thing and putting the royal family first.”
