On Wednesday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, a new frontrunner emerged in the form of the show’s first intruder: Ryan Anderson.
Not only is Ryan a rescue dog advocate who has an Instagram account filled with photos of him posing with pups – AKA every woman’s dream, he has a history with Angie Kent. Anyone else getting serious deja vu here in the form of Stu Laundy and Sophie Monk?
Speaking to 10Daily, the 32-year-old said he and Angie DM’d a bit on Instagram before she was announced as Australia’s new Bachelorette.
“I signed up for the show purely to get to know Angie – I had a bit of an online crush on her and I wanted to get to know her a bit better,” he said.
“We share a common interest in dogs and the rescue dog scene, and we’ve had a little bit of back and forth over social media for a while, but we had never actually met in person.”
Ryan, an ambassador for Empower Assistance Dogs, revealed he was planning on asking Angie to the organisation’s annual gala ball but then found out she had signed up for the show.
“The one girl I had my eye on incidentally turned out be the Bachelorette.”
We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling a winner here. Below, before you ask, photos of Ryan with dogs for your viewing pleasure.
