Grab The Tissues, A New, Heartwarming Photo From Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Maternity Shoot Is Here

Photographer Misan Harriman left an even sweeter message

While many are left reeling following the revelations discussed during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s emotional tell-all interview with Oprah on March 8, there’s one silver lining to take from the event.

Announcing that they’re expecting their second child back in February—and sharing that they’re expecting a baby girl, during last night’s special—the couple aren’t done yet with the oh-so-sweet surprises.

Following the interview, photographer Missan Harriman shared a gorgeous, unseen photo from Meghan and Harry’s maternity shoot. The couple have also announced that their little bundle of joy will be earth side mid-year.

“What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day! Congratulations my friends, and welcome to the #girldad club H ❤️,” Harriman wrote in an Instagram post.

In the photo, Meghan is carrying baby Archie barefoot in her arms—wearing a tropical printed off-the-shoulder dress—with Harry hugging her from behind in the backyard of their Santa Barbara home.

The image comes as a moment of joy following an emotional and raw interview with Oprah, where Meghan and Harry discussed difficult topics like the royal family’s ‘concern’ over Archie’s skin colour, Meghan’s severe struggle with her mental health and her reported “feud” with Kate Middleton.

The pair announced that they’re expecting their second child on February 16 on Instagram, with the pair sharing a black-and-white photo of Harry and Meghan laying in the garden of their Los Angeles home, with Meghan cradling her baby bump.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple confirmed.

This happy news comes after Meghan revealed in November last year that she had had a miscarriage in the summer of 2020. Writing for The New York Times, she said “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”

The couple, who are already parents to baby Archie, have made it very clear of their desire to grow their family in the past. Prince Harry was seen asking members of the public what it was like to be a parent of more than one child at an event in late 2019.
