After 72 female members of British Parliament wrote an open letter expressing their solidarity with and empathy for the Duchess of Sussex, her best friend, Jessica Mulroney, took to Twitter to share the piece, writing, “This is what I’m talking about ❤️.”
And it appears that alongside supportive BFF’s, Meghan Markle has her ex-boyfriend’s family also in her corner. Joanne Vitiello, the mother of Meghan’s ex-boyfriend, Chef Cory Vitiello, quickly replied to Jessica’s post, writing: “It’s about time! (So sad and shocking that there’s so much jealousy, hostility and bullying directed her way!).”
The tweet has since been deleted, but a fan account captured a screenshot of the message on the second slide of the below Instagram gallery:
Cory and Meghan dated for two years between 2014 and 2016, ending their relationship a few months before Meghan was introduced to Prince Harry.
Joanne previously told The Daily Mail of her son’s former partner, “We are very fond of her … she is a lovely, lovely woman. Very smart, very bright, very caring. She’s a warm personality, very sincere. We very much enjoyed the time we spent with her. She fitted very well into our family. The Royal Family, and Britain, is very lucky to have her.”
Thomas, Samantha, are you listening?
