At the age of 28, grown man Married At First Sight star Josh could really do with establishing some boundaries with his over-bearing mother, Mandy.

Not content with throwing his “wife” Cathy, 26, under the bus once, when he ran to his meddling mummy to tell her Cathy had “ignored him for three days” (“Never ignore Josh again,” Mandy threatened Cathy at the time), the sook goes and does it again during his home stay in Newcastle, NSW.
After a rather pleasant motorbike ride ’round to visit mummy dearest, Josh opens up again about their current woes, including Cathy coming home the night before at 1.20am.
Mandy, unable to help herself, also starts to remind her darling boy about the time Cathy ignored him.
“I’m feeling attacked,” Cathy said. “[Mandy] bringing this up again brings up those feelings again. I have never felt so alone.”
Josh’s mummy encourages her boy to make sure he tells the teachers experts about what Cathy has done and how he feels (while Cathy is sitting right there listening).
“I said how I felt,” Josh told Mandy.
“I am proud of you,” she replied.
“Thank you. Honesty is everything,” he said.
Again. Cathy. Is. Right. There. Can they see her?
Later at the beach, Cathy asked him if his mother had forgiven her.
“With the whole situation with the three-day thing, do you feel like she has forgiven me? I didn’t get that vibe that she had let it go,” Cathy said.
“If she was still angry at ya, she wouldn’t have had you over to the house,” Josh said.
“I still feel like she is holding onto resentment,” Cathy said.
“Wow, that upset me saying that about my mum,” Josh replied and he tells her he just wants to be “friends”.
“You say the most hurtful things to me when you are heated,” she said.
Wrapped in a towel, a crying Cathy fled the beach: “I’m afraid this relationship is failing. I always feel it is me who has done wrong. I know he doesn’t want me here.
“This is the third time he has said this won’t work.”
Elsewhere, it feels like an episode of MTV’s Cribs during Stacey’s visit to Michael’s bachelor mansion in Adelaide, complete with cinema, pool and a large number of his ex-girlfriend’s dirty, old bikinis.
“Michael has a beautiful home, it’s impressive he can have something like this at his age,” Stacey, a mother-of-two sons, said with dollar signs in her eyes.
Later in the episode, Michael, 28, a refrigerator company director, wanted Stacey, 25, to go for a dip, but she forgot her swimmers so he takes a pile of his exes’ cast-off bikinis for her to wear.
“These could have chlamydia,” she said. “I’m not taking those chances, let’s put them in the bin.”
To be on the safe side, she opted for a bra and a pair of his footie shorts.
“So you could see me and the family moving in?” she asked as they sat in the pool with a drink in hand, already sizing up the curtains.
