There’s a new member of House Harington! Game of Thrones stars Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have welcomed their first child, New York Post‘s Page Six reports, sharing photos of the couple running errands in London with their newborn in tow.
A rep for the couple confirmed to E! News that the pair have welcomed a baby boy and are “very, very happy.”
The couple, who fans will remember as Ygritte and Jon Snow in the George R.R. Martin adaptation, first announced the exciting news in September 2020, after Leslie debuted her growing baby bump for U.K.’s Make Magazine, speaking about how the couple has been spending quality time together amid the ongoing pandemic.
“What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup,” she told the publication. “It’s a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbours. It’s so peaceful.”
The actor previously opened up in an interview for InStyle U.S. about letting go of Jon Snow, and the exciting plans he and Leslie had for starting a family.
“I’m always going to be ‘that guy,'” he said of the Emmy-award winning show’s end. “For all its wonderful things, it brings difficult things too.”
“The most important job I’ll ever have is about to finish… Well, not the most. Hopefully, I’ll be a father.”
The couple first began dating after meeting on the set of GoT and got engaged in 2017, confirming the news via a classified advert in The Times. Less than two years later, they wed in Scotland in June 2018.
Congrats to the new parents!
