Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the Festival of Remembrance Service at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, marking the royal foursome’s first public outing since July and since Prince Harry confirmed he and his brother are on “different paths” at the moment.

For the event, which commemorates lives lost in World War One, Meghan and Kate both opted for dark hued dresses with a red poppy. Meghan’s, a black brocade midi-dress reportedly by Erdem, and Kate’s, a navy dress which she accessorised with Jessica McCormack earrings and a Zara headband.
The next morning, the royal family attended the annual Remembrance Sunday service, standing overhead on balconies overlooking the monument as per tradition.
Beside the Queen were Kate and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, while Meghan Markle was on another balcony between Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Princess Anne’s husband Sir Tim Laurence.
But despite the royal drama, the reason Meghan and Kate were separated had nothing to do with the tension between their husbands Prince Harry and Prince William, in fact, they stood in the same place last year.
According to People, the reason for Meghan being separated from Kate and the Queen has to do with space and pecking order. The balconies are reportedly only big enough to hold three people, and since Meghan is below Kate and Camilla in terms of rank, she was placed elsewhere. Phew.
