If COVID-19 was good for one thing, it was cementing the fact that staying in a job you despise isnโt rewarding in the least.
It seems that the upper-echelon of Hollywood got the same memo, with Kate Hudson surprising us all with an unexpected career pivot of her own.
Taking to social media, Hudson surprisingly announced sheโs currently working on releasing an album, or in her words, โfinally realized itโs time to say f#%! it and saaaannngg!!!!!โ
Hudson captioned the post with the hashtag #albumincoming, so we can expect an entire long play of Hudsonโs sultry vocals to be released sooner than we expected.

While the 43-year-old actress is best known for her roles in iconic rom-coms like How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and Bride Wars, we should have guessed from her short but sweet sing-a-long to Elton Johnโs โTiny Dancerโ from the 2000โs cult classic Almost Famous that she was a budding songstress.
Throughout her career, Hudson teased her abilities as a vocalist, including roles in Glee and the controversial 2021 film Music. Of course, Hudsonโs Doo-Wap rendition of Arianaโs Grandeโs โ7 Ringsโ on Thatโs My Jam earlier this year certainly proved she can hit all the right notes.

Naturally, the internet was pretty divided by this news.
Some fans were taken aback by this surprising career change, however many of her A-lister friends took to her announcement post to share their support.
Chrome Hearts founder Laurie Lynn stark commented โBaby got a voice ๐ฅโ, while Rachel Zoe commented โYESSSSSSSSSSSSSS FCKING about time woman! ๐๐ ๐คโ.
Hilary Swank followed suit and posted โYeeeeeessssssss, youโre making my dream come true!!!!!โ, while Michelle Pfeiffer opted for a simple ๐๐๐๐โ.
While we never had a Kate Hudson album on our 2022 bingo card, weโre grateful for the news.
Hereโs hoping the album will include a cover of Carly Simonโs โYour So Vainโ.
