Fans of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills franchise will be waiting with bated breath to watch as Erika Girardi, better known as Erika Jayne on the reality series, and her husband Tom Girardi’s legal dramas are explored in its upcoming season. But while viewers wait to see what answers will be given surrounding the scandal, yet another deep dive is set to explore the ongoing drama—The Housewife and the Hustler.
The documentary, which was announced on People, will follow Jayne and her estranged husband’s legal controversies, which has already dropped its first teaser, featuring legal experts, those accusing Girardi of embezzlement and fellow Real Housewives stars.
“Tom Girardi was L.A. law—so powerful,” one legal expert says in the sneak peek, while another adds, “They were just blowing money left and right, but then…”
The documentary, which will air in the U.S. on June 14, will also see viewers let in on damning voicemail messages, court recordings and never-before-aired deposition tape, per ABC News.
The announcement of the documentary comes as Jayne prepares to air out some of the scandals on RHOBH, which has been teased in the months leading up to its release earlier this month.
For those unfamiliar with the couple, they announced their divorce after 21 years together in November 2020. While the couple’s split was a shock to fans, news later emerged that Girardi, a top Los Angeles lawyer, was being sued for allegedly embezzling funds intended for family members of victims of a plane crash. The 81-year-old was later diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
We don’t know when The Housewife and the Hustler will air in Australia, so stay tuned for more details.
