The Eurovision alum revealed their adorable news on Instagram over the weekend by sharing a set of photographs from her ultrasound.

“I got a gig booked in Brisbane for May 2022 at the maternity ward,” she wrote in the caption.

The former Celebrity Masterchef contestant is welcoming her first child with her husband, who she has been with for over a decade. Reposting his wife’s exciting announcement, Kim added that he is “going to be a father” and that “life is full of surprises”.

As for what Im‘s friends and fellow famous faces thought of the news, the “Sound Of Silence” singer was inundated with support from her nearest and dearest over the happy news.

“Aww congratulations,” Aussie icon Dani Minogue replied, alongside Natalie Bassingwaighte, who exclaimed “Yes, so excited!”

After marrying in Seoul back in 2012, Im appeared on X-Factor Australia the next year where she took out the entire competition. While speaking to the Daily Telegraph, the 33-year-old said that despite her sudden rise to fame, her social worker husband has kept her grounded.

“We got married a year before the whole talent show thing, so he’s been there with me through all of it,” she told the publication.

“It’s really good to have him there, he understands everything I’ve been through and goes through the changes with me.

“Even though I’m the one in the spotlight he has been there with me.”

Recently, the Korean-Australian musician represented Australia in 2016’s Eurovision in Sweden. And while her performance of ‘Sound Of Silence’ was award-winning in our eyes, she sadly didn’t win the competition.

As for whether their baby will have the same vocal stamina as its mother? We vote ‘yes’. Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents!
