Mindy Kaling
On October 8, Mindy Kaling made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where she announced she had given birth to her second child.
“I’m telling it for the first time now, it feels so strange. But I gave birth to a baby boy on September 3,” she said. When Colbert remarked,
“No one even knew you were pregnant!” she replied, “I know! I know! This is news to a lot of people. It’s true.” The actor also revealed the baby is a boy named Spencer, who joins her older daughter, Katherine.
Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty
Married At First Sight alum, Robinson and Merchant welcomed their first child on October 3. Taking to Instagram, Robinson shared a video montage of her birthing experience, that features their newborn son’s tiny hand and also revealed the long-awaited name.
“#loveatfirstsight I would do it a thousand times again for you Oliver Chase Merchant,” she wrote.
“Our little man has arrived ❤️ #surprise #itsaboy healthy and beautiful and my heart is full. We are home now and enjoying the love bubble and getting to know our lil man Ollie who has the world ahead of him.”
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski revealed that they welcomed their second child, a beautiful baby boy, on September 28. They also share a three-year-old daughter named Nina.
“Since the birth of our daughter three years ago, our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives,” the couple wrote in a statement. “With the birth of our son, the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.”
Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix
On September 27, Russian filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky revealed that the couple had welcomed their first child.
The director was revealed the news during a Q&A at the 2020 Zurich Film Festival to promote the documentary Gunda. Letting slip that the couple had named their baby boy after the Oscar winner’s late brother, River Phoenix, he said: “He just got a baby, by the way, his name was… a beautiful son called River, so he cannot promote it now.”
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
Former NSYNC member Lance Bass looks to have confirmed the arrival of Biel’s and Timberlake’s new baby to Entertainment Tonight.
“The baby is cute, of course. It’s Justin and Jessica!” Bass told the outlet. As for a name, Bass wouldn’t give that up. “That’s a good question,” he said. “Justin would kill me!”
News first broke that Jessica Biel reportedly gave birth to a baby boy in mid-July after a “top secret” pregnancy, according to the Daily Mail. But neither the couple nor their representatives have confirmed the news.

Confirming the news to The Cut, Chloë Sevigny gave birth to a baby boy, named Vanja, on May 5.
“When I found out I was having a boy, I had to wrap my head around that, as I am so girly. I don’t even have that many boy friends; all of my friends are girls. I just relate better to girls. I’m like, what the hell am I going to do with a boy?” Sevigny said to the outlet three weeks before her due date.
With her pregnancy leaked in January, Sevigny confirmed her pregnancy with a series of stunning pregnancy shots posted to her Instagram.

Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke
Singer Domino Kirke announced on September 20 that she was “#40dayspostpartum” after welcoming her first child with Gossip Girl alum Penn Badgley. She also shares son Cassius with her ex-partner Morgan O’Kane.
Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith
On April 21, Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith welcomed their first daughter together, named Janie. Confirming the news to PEOPLE, representatives for the couple said: “Both mother and baby are happy and healthy.”
Shortly before announcing the birth of their daughter, Turner-Smith reflected on her “fantastic voyage” into motherhood, while showing off her baby bump in a stunning maternity photo shoot.
“A fantastic voyage that begins in wonder and transformation,” she wrote on Instagram. “I will never forget how this felt and now won’t soon forget how it looked.”
Felicity Jones and Charles Guard
According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Felicity Jones gave birth to her first child with her husband, Charles Guard sometime in August or September this year. The Star Wars actor was spotted pushing a stroller in new images, which were published on September 11. In December 2019, a rep for Jones confirmed to People she was pregnant. Jones and Guard have been married since 2018.
Leighton Meester and Adam Brody
On September 13, Adam Brody confirmed the news that he and Leighton Meester had welcomed baby number two. While on Twitch during Hold the Phone TV’s The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular, Brody spilled the news that he and Leighton Meester are parents to a baby boy.
“I have a new kid. Since last I played, I have a new kid,” Brody reportedly said. “I have a boy, and he’s a dream. He’s a dream boy.” Brody and Meester were married in 2014 and also share a five-year-old daughter, Arlo Day.
Ed Sheehan and Cherry Seaborn
Announcing the news on his Instagram on September 1, Ed Sheeran revealed that his wife, Cherry Seaborn, gave birth to the couple’s first child.
“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter—Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran,” he wrote.
“We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x.”

On August 20, the Glee alum welcomed her first child—a baby boy—with husband Zandy Reich, according to People. “Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they’re extremely grateful,” a source revealed. “He’s been an easy baby so far.” The magazine also reports that his name is Ever Leo.
On August 26, Michele shared the first glimpse of baby Ever. “ForEver grateful for this true blessing💙,” she wrote in the caption of a photo of his tiny foot.
Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt
Schwarzenegger and Pratt welcomed their first child together on August 11. Pratt officially confirmed the birth of his and Schwarzenegger’s baby girl on his Instagram.
Revealing that they were “thrilled” to announce the birth of their first child together, he revealed that they had a daughter named Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt, alongside a picture of the pair holding their baby’s hand.
“We couldn’t be happier,” he captioned the image. “Both mum and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris.”
Schwarzenegger shared the same picture on her Instagram, echoing Pratt’s words: “We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!”
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas
In a statement released on July 27, the couple confirmed that they had welcomed their first child together—a baby girl named Willa.
“Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby,” a short statement, given to People, read. TMZ was the first to report the baby news and reveal the name, and noted that Willa was born on Wednesday, July 22, in Los Angeles.
Neither Turner nor Jonas ever publicly confirmed the pregnancy, with Turner only recently posting images of her pregnancy to her Instagram on September 28.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
Ciara gave birth to baby boy Win Harrison Wilson on July 23, according to a Twitter post from the mother-of-three. In the video she sang “Happy Birthday” to her newborn right in the hospital room while wearing a sparkly black mask.
Russell Wilson who is also the father of their two-year-old daughter, Sienna, also shared the news with a selfie on Instagram. “Happy Birthday WIN!!! Mommy & Daddy Love You,” he wrote in the caption. “Win Harrison Wilson 7.23.2020 8lbs 1 oz.”
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita
The Modern Family actor and his husband Justin Mikita, welcomed their first child on July 7—a baby boy named Beckett Mercer.
“Jesse and Justin welcomed their little bundle of joy, Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita, on July 7, 2020,” a rep told People. “The new parents are overjoyed and excited for this new journey as a family of three.”
Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood
The Glee star welcomed her first child with husband Chris Wood, a baby boy named Huxley Robert Wood on September 26.
Sharing a photo of his tiny hand on Instagram, Benoist captioned the image with: “Huxley Robert Wood got here a few weeks ago ♥️ and this little boy is everything.”
The couple are notoriously private, however they did reveal they were expecting a baby back in March.
Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail
Michelle Williams and director Thomas Kail welcomed their first child together on June 17, according to Us Weekly. The couple also reportedly tied the knot in March after announcing their engagement in December 2019. Williams has one daughter already, 14-year-old Matilda.
Kristen Wiig and Avi Rothman
According to a report by Us Weekly on June 19, Kristen Wiig and fiancé Avi Rothman welcomed twins via surrogacy earlier this year. Page Six also shared photos of Wiig and Rothman out for a stroll with their twins, all wearing very cute hats.
The news comes just a month after Wiig, 46, dropped a hint about motherhood while hosting Saturday Night Live.
“This is the Mother’s Day show, and at SNL, it’s a very special time to celebrate moms,” said Wiig. “Unfortunately, probably like a lot of you, I can’t be with my mom on this Mother’s Day. So, I hope it’s OK, I would like to tell her I love her.”
America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams
0On May 10, America Ferrera took to Instagram to introduce her second child with husband Ryan Piers Williams—a baby girl named Lucia Marisol.
“LUCIA MARISOL WILLIAMS arrived on May 4th to give me my Mother’s Day hugs and kisses herself. Mama, Dada & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family,” Ferrera wrote.
Ferrera and Piers William also share a son, Sebastian who was born in 2018.
