Strapless tops, choker necklaces, and powder blue eyeshadow—all staples from our ’90s wardrobes we’d really rather forget.
But, this week The Project host Carrie Bickmore switched out her enviable news desk fashion in favour of a trip down memory lane, sharing a series of hilarious throwback pictures from her teenage years, and of course, she was sporting the decades most enviable trends.
“The ’90s… when you didn’t get the chance to take a photo multiple times til you got one with your eyes open,” Bickmore captioned the nostalgic snaps.
The television host’s Project co-host Lisa Wilkinson couldn’t help but comment underneath, writing: “Or get it in the centre of the shot. So cute.”
The first photo shows a teenage Bickmore wearing a strapless red top with her hair slicked back and beauty look completed with thick black eyeliner, while another shows the now TV personality experimenting with her usually blonde hair, displaying a short brown bob.
Bickmore is no stranger to poking a little fun at her beauty moments, in fact, she previously shared three of her most—ahem—questionable hairstyles with her Instagram followers in 2018, posting a hilarious collage of her “hair journey” through the years.
And while we’ve come to admire Bickmore’s perfectly curled blonde tresses flashing across our screens at 6:30pm sharp, the throwback photos prove she used to look very different to the TV host we now know and love.
