When some of Hollywood’s biggest names appeared on a star-studded Zoom call for a charity table reading of 80s classic Fast Times At Ridgemont High–including Julia Roberts and Morgan Freeman–all eyes were on former It-couple Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.
Appearing on-screen together for the first time in over two decades, we got an inside look at how the couple interacts from a sweet hello to Jen acting as Brad’s fantasy in the script–the moment, rightfully so, broke the internet.
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Aniston and Pitt—who were married for five years in the early aughts—were reasonably “a little nervous” going into the Zoom charity event. However, it wasn’t because of how they felt about one another, but the public’s continued interest in their relationship.
The same fan fervour occurred when the pair both appeared at the 2020 SAG Awards and Golden Globes.
The outlet’s source says, despite the eagle eyes on them, they “enjoyed themselves.”
“It used to bug them how everyone pulls for them to get back together, but now they laugh it off,” the source said. “The truth is they have each other’s backs. They constantly bounce ideas off each other and share happy news when they have it. They have such a natural, easy energy together.”
In fact, the source says we could be seeing more of the former couple together in the future. “They don’t want to milk this ‘friendly exes’ dynamic they’ve got going on too much,” the source added. “They’re both very mindful of that.”
However, for fans hoping for a romantic reunion, the source confirmed there was “nothing romantic going on”.
“Jen is having the time of her life right now. She’s satisfied with her work and personal life,” they added.
Similarly, Pitt is rumoured to be dating 27-year-old German model Nicole Poturalski.
