If the 20th anniversary reunion of the Harry Potter franchise didn’t make you realise just how grown up the cast is, then wait till you hear that our favourite gifted witches and wizards have already started walking down the aisle.
Over the weekend the littlest Weasley and our favourite fiery-redhead, Ginny a.k.a Bonnie Wright married her partner in a secret wedding.
The 31-year-old actress wed her long-term beau Andrew Lococo in a private ceremony. Not much known was about the nuptials, however Wright took to social media to share some behind-the-scenes images from the fairy tale wedding.
“Yesterday was the best day of my life 💙 thanks to my husband!!” Wright captioned one of the posts. In the video, Wright showcased her stunning square-cut pastel sapphire ring and pearlescent manicure.
In another post, Wright posted a polaroid of her and Andrew holding hands during the ceremony. In the image, we get a glimpse of Bonnie’s whimsical gown which features a deep V-neckline and flutter sleeve.
While we only saw a snippet of Bonnie’s wedding whites, we can’t help but notice some similarities between the dress and Hermione Granger’s iconic Yule Ball dress. Could this be a case of life imitating art?
Later in the evening, Bonnie changed into a glossy gunmetal grey slip dress à la Kate Moss’ iconic 1994 Calvin Klein moment.
While we’re not sure if any of Bonnie’s former Harry Potter co-stars were in attendance for the ceremony, many shared their congratulations and well wishes for the new bride on social media.
Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco Malfoy in the franchise’s eight films, simply commented “Congratulations B xx”. Afshan Azad, who you’ll recognise as Ron Weasley’s one-time date Padma Patil, wrote “Love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️”.
Wright was formally engaged to Harry Potter co-star Jamie Campbell Bower, who played evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the final films, from 2011 to 2012.
While Bonnie and Andrew have kept their relationship private in the past, here’s hoping we can see more from the cute couple in future.
