“I feel so lucky."

When it comes to popular celebrity couples, those that keep their relationships private are typically the ones we’re most interested in hearing from.

So, when Amal Clooney opened up in a rare interview about her life with husband George Clooney and their two twins, we were all ears.

Speaking to Time magazine, Amal discussed her marriage to the famous actor and how the pair have raised their fraternal four-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella.

“Marriage has been wonderful. I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive,” she told the publication, adding, “we have a home filled with love and laughter”.

“It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined. I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life, and to be a mother—this is how I get my balance.”

While George and Amal have been married since 2014 and welcomed their twins in 2017, the actor has previously opened up about meeting the successful barrister.

“Listen, I didn’t want to get married; I didn’t want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life and I just fell madly in love,” George said on the WTF With Marc Maron podcast in 2021.

For Amal, who was 35-years-old at the time, she felt the same way about what she had planned for her life, that is, until she met a 52-year-old George.

During an honorary speech for her husband at the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute in 2018, Amal made light of her previous decision to remain single, saying that she was “quite resigned to the idea that I was going to be a spinster” before meeting her husband.

“My love, what I have found with you is the great love I always hoped existed. And seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life,” she said at the time.

“You fill our home with laughter and happiness, and that’s even before the children have worked out that ‘Da-Da’ is Batman, a talking fox, and friends with Mary Poppins.”

“I’m proud of you, but I also know that when our children find out not only what you have done, but who you are, they will be so proud of you, too.”

Listen, if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that we’d do anything to find a love like Amal and George’s.
