Just when we thought 2022 was going to be Adele’s biggest year yet, apparently she has even bigger plans for the years to come.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Adele sat on the talk show host’s infamous red couch in a grey Fendi pantsuit. She opened up about the controversy surrounding her Las Vegas residency and how she plans to make amends for the postponement.
When Norton asked her about the delayed concert dates, the “Easy On Me” singer shared that she “tried my hardest” to make the show a realty, explaining that there were heavy delays with materials needed and lack of manpower.
“It would have been a really half-arsed show and I can’t do that,” she told Norton. “People will see straight through me up on the stage… I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now.”
“We are now working our arses off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready,” she said.
The British musician also revealed that fans need not worry, the concerts will be “absolutely happening” this year, adding “I want a baby next year”.
“I have plans next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!” she exclaimed.
Adele already shares a nine-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

The star also made sure to explain how she’s been making a “conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy”, explaining that she prefers to use her free time between albums to recharge, but this time, she’d love to expand her family.
“I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding,” she said.
“It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children—I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”
Of course, that wasn’t the only rumour that fans were curious about. Norton made sure to clear up speculation that Adele is perhaps engaged to her boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul.
The rumours first swirled when Adele walked the red carpet at the 2022 Brit Awards sporting a rather large pear-shaped diamond ring on her ring finger. But despite wearing what clearly looked like an engagement ring, she refused to give a straight answer about it’s origin.
“As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t,” she said. And when Norton mentioned that it certainly looked like she’s engaged, she responded with a coy, “Alright.”
As for whether Adele will be headed down the aisle or pregnant with her second baby (or both) is anybody’s guess. In the meantime, we’ll just keep listening to 30 and weeping.
