If you believe the hype, Canadian singer Bryan Adams used to date Princess Diana. In March, Diana’s butler Paul Burrell revealed that he used to sneak Adams into Kensington Palace to see her.
In 2003, Adams’ former girlfriend, actress Cecilie Thomsen, reportedly told a Danish magazine that she knew her partner fooled around with Princess Diana.
“I knew Diana had an affair with Bryan,” she said in the interview. “Bryan knew Paul Burrell very well and Paul was part of the inner circle around Bryan, and he also introduced him to Diana. The first time Bryan met Diana I wasn’t invited.”
Now the 90s rock star has addressed the rumours in a game of “Plead the Fifth” on Andy Cohen’s late night show.
When asked to characterise his relationship with Princess Diana, Adams, 58, said they were “great friends” and that “she didn’t sneak me in, I would just roll up.”
After Cohen asked if they were friends with benefits, Adams stumbled and said, “Um, she was just… we were good friends.”
Yeah… riiiiiiight. Just like Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid were “good friends” in 2016. We’ve heard it all before, buddy.
