Hear ye, fine people of The Ton: Bridgerton‘s season 2 release date is coming in hot, and yes, that means more pop song covers, Regency-core dressing, and plenty of town gossip.
It comes after season one literally blew up the internet in the depths of lockdowns across the world. What with the on-point period dialogue, completely detachable drama and, well, Regé-Jean Page doing Regé-Jean Page things, it provided the perfect distraction to the never-ending doom scrolls we’d oftentimes find ourselves in.
But it came to an end all too soon (eight mere episodes to wrap up the lives and loves of Mayfair’s elite), leaving many desparate to know more.
Luckily, the wait for season two is nearly over.
When will Bridgerton season 2 be released?
Bridgerton season 2 will drop on Friday, March 25th 2022 on Netflix Australia at 6pm AEDT and 3pm AWST. Yes, that’s soon, so you’d best buy up tea, get ready to turn off group chat notifications and occupy your comfy spot for the weekend ahead.
What will happen in Bridgerton season 2?
While season one’s central storyline revolved around Daphne Bridgerton and her complicated romance with the Duke of Hastings, season two is set to explore another Bridgerton’s quest for love—Viscount Anthony (Jonathan Bailey).
The unlucky in love Lord suddenly finds himself in the midst of an awkward love triangle between two stunning sisters, Kate (Simone Ashley) and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran). As the trailer suggests, Anthony is torn between the two despite Kate, the elder of the two, challenging him in ways he never expected.
Alongside this, season two will no doubt elaborate on Lady Whistledown, AKA Penelope Featherington’s life as the eyes and ears of gossip pertaining to people of The Ton.
