It seems like only yesterday when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie welcomed their first adopted child, Maddox, followed by five other siblings. A lot has happened since then, both for the couple and for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children.
Indeed, while Brangelina is no more, their six kids continue to put on a united front. They’re often seen at red carpet events supporting their mother, and as the the years go by, they’re growing older, wiser and more experienced.
Now, the Jolie-Pitt clan are basically all grown up. Some have made their way to college and others have travelled far and wide for social justice causes. And some of Angelina Jolie’s children have also joined their mother in the showbiz world.
Here, we look at what each of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children are up to now.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 22
Maddox was adopted by Angelina Jolie in Cambodia in 2002. He was seven months old at the time and she adopted him on her own, with Brad Pitt becoming an adoptive parent to Maddox after the couple got together in 2004.
While his younger sisters are often seen out and about alongside their mother, Maddox’s appearances have been few and far between.
In 2019, Maddox went on to study at the prestigious Yonsei University in South Korea. In an interview with ET at the time, Angelina said: “I’m excited. Maddox was so ready.”
In 2023, Angelina Jolie and Maddox Jolie-Pitt also attended the White House together, for a a state dinner where President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
Pax Jolie-Pitt, 20
Pax was adopted by Brad and Angelina at age three while he was in an orphanage in Vietnam. He was originally named Pham, but the couple opted to change it to ‘Pax’ which is the Latin word for ‘Peace’.
Per SCMP, Pax has learned Vietnamese. He’s also done a bit of film work, voicing Yoo in Kung Fu Panda 3 and having a small featured role in Maleficent.
In 2020, Pax made headlines for a scathing Instagram post about Brad Pitt, which has since been removed. In it, he said “You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person.” More recently, Page Six reported spotting him dining out with Angelina at LA celebrity hot spot Sushi Park.
Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 19
In 2005, Brad and Angelina adopted Zahara in Ethiopia. Alongside her younger sibling Shiloh, she has been the most publicly active out of the Jolie-Pitt kids.
In 2021, she visited lawmakers in Washington, D.C in support of the Violence Against Women Act alongside her mum, Angelina.
She’s also accompanied her mum to a number of other social justice events, as seen in Angelina’s updates to her Instagram. It’s clear that Zahara has the same drive and passion for activism.
In August 2022, Zahara started studying at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters!” Angelina wrote, posting a picture of her eldest daughter alongside her college friends.
“Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honour to have a family member as a new Spelman girl.”
In 2023, Zahara also joined historic sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha. As reported by Essence, she introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie, without the “Pitt”. So it seems Zahara is one of Angelina Jolie’s children who has made a public decision on how she relates to her parents.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 17
Shiloh is the eldest of Brad and Angelina’s biological children, born in May 2007, while they were on a trip to Namibia.
Like Zahara, the 17-year-old has travelled with her mother to support various social and humanitarian initiatives. In February 2022, Jolie revealed that she and Shiloh had travelled to Cambodia to support MJP Foundation.
Shiloh has also made several appearance onscreen. Per IMDB, she played the younger version of Caroline in Brad Pitt’s award-winning film, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. She also lent her voice in Kung Fu Panda 3 as Shuai Shua.
Aside from her acting credits, Shiloh is also an avid dancer. Her penchant for dancing became apparent when a video went viral of Shiloh at a Los Angeles-based dance studio, performing a routine to Doja Cat’s “Vegas”.
When asked about the video, Pitt gushed about her skills while walking the red carpet for the Bullet Train premiere in LA.
“It brings a tear to the eye,” he told Entertainment Tonight, adding that she is “very beautiful”.
“I don’t know where she got it from. I’m Mr. Two-Left-Feet here,” he said jokingly. “I love when they find their own way, find things they are interested in and flourish.”
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 15
Vivienne, who has a twin brother Knox, is another of Brad and Angelina’s biological children.
Born in Nice, France in 2008, Vivienne has taken her mother (and Shiloh’s) lead by stepping in front of the camera. She appeared in Angelina’s film, Maleficent as a young Princess Aurora. She was five years old at the time.
Speaking about the rare moment, Angelina told Entertainment Weekly, “We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That’s not our goal, for Brad and I, at all.
“But the other three- and four-year-old [performers] wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv.”
Recently, Vivienne also worked as an assistant for Angelina Jolie and Justin Levine on new musical The Outsiders. In an Extra interview with Jolie, who produced the musical, and Levine, who was the musical director, both adults had glowing reviews of Vivienne’s involvement.
“Viv ended up more with Justin than me,” Jolie said.
“Viv is one of the greatest human’s I’ve ever met,” Levine said, with Jolie visibly beaming alongside him at the comment about her daughter.
Knox Jolie-Pitt, 15
Knox is Brad and Angelina’s biological son and the twin brother of Vivienne.
While you might not have seen his face on the big screen, Knox has been pictured at several red carpet events over the years alongside his siblings.
He’s also reportedly into martial arts—he was pictured in full attire while heading to a class in 2021.
