One year after they officially started dating again, it appears Bella Hadid and The Weeknd have called it quits on their relationship for the second time. While Gigi Hadid is making headlines by dating The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron and younger brother Anwar going Instagram official with Dua Lipa, 22-year-old Bella had quietly been going through a break up.
According to E! News, the 22-year-old model and 29-year-old musician have gone their separate ways with a source telling the site, “Bella and Abel have split.”
According to the source, “distance” and their busy careers were major factors in the split. “They are in different places right now, physically and mentally,” the source said. “Bella is prepping for her fashion week commitments and Abel is working on his music and his upcoming acting debut.”
The couple’s busy work schedules reportedly meant they were often at home at “opposite times” and because of trying to make the distance work, the source said they have “been arguing a lot recently.”
As for whether there’s any future there, the insider says Bella and The Weeknd hope they can reconcile again in the future. “They hope to get back together at one point but for now are focusing on themselves and their projects,” they said.
Bella is currently doing what any woman should post-break up: spending quality time with her girlfriends while on holiday in Greece.
