Leave it to millennial beauty guru Zoe Foster Blake to a nostalgic beauty trend like glitter eye shadow – put her signature stamp on it – and make it achingly cool once more. The Go-To skincare founder took to social media to share her silver galactic eye make-up look by MUA Yvonne Borland, the perfect accompaniment to her Rachel Gilbert sequin dress and Isabel Marant earrings.
“Mecca kindly invited us to sit on their table at the #ngvartofdining2019 masked gala tonight,” Zoe shared.
Hilariously adding: “And my GOODNESS the table design in there. Almost makes me question my Ikea placemats! Almost. (We did our own sassy riff on masks, utilising a Lincraft’s worth of glitter. How adorable/lazy!”
Her inspiration for the evening comes courtesy of Australian red carpet queen Margot Robbie – who rocked a similar design by MUA Patti Dubroff at the Australian premiere of her film Peter Rabbit.
At the time Patti told us that she used Dubroff Lemonhead Los Angeles Midnight Society SpaceJam Luxe Glitter (approx. $41; lemonheadla.com), a loose glitter inspired by ghost stories under a night sky, comprised of chunky silver moons and stars with a subtle blue undertone.
Zoe gave us a quick squiz at her prep for the evening sharing this behind-the-scenes Instagram story. Following with a close-up of the holographic look – created to mimic a mask for the black-tie outing – she sarcastically added “subtle always.”
Hamish Blake was on hand for Instagram husband duties and Zo’s partner in crime for the night. The radio host opted for a traditional black tuxedo and bowtie.
To complete the look from head-to-toe, Zoe enlisted the help of celebrity stylist Lana Wilkonson. The final result? A dazzling disco ball look that we’re dying to recreate.
