By day, Annelies van Overbeek is a 17-year-old history student at university in her homeland of Belgium. But on the weekends she transforms herself into some of her favourite iconic movie characters with elaborate beauty looks, on-point costuming and even the same facial expressions for her Instagram account (@bewitchedquills).
It all started when van Overbeek chopped her hair into a sleek pixie cut. “People started telling me I looked like Audrey Hepburn,” she told American marie claire. “I wasn’t very familiar with anything old Hollywood related at all, but when I looked her up I fell in love with the elegance of vintage silver-screen glamour!”
Now, it’s safe to say she is addicted. She posts images of her mind-blowing transformations to her Instagram, which has some 30,000 followers, and she’s planning on launching a Youtube channel to share her makeup tutorials in the near future.
Which look would you love to recreate? Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face or Roman Holiday? Or maybe a windswept Keira Knightley in the Pride and Prejudice remake… There are just too many incredible looks to choose from.
