The Golden Globes may have been virtual this year, but thankfully, our favourite A-listers didn’t let that stop them from bringing the glamour—both on the fashion and beauty front. From Elle Fanning’s jaw-dropping old Hollywood-inspired look to Tiffany Haddish’s new blonde pixie cut, there was plenty of show-stopping beauty to gaze upon at this year’s event.
Below, we’ve rounded up our favourite beauty looks from the 2021 Golden Globes.
Sarah Hyland
Ditching her usual brunette locks, Sarah Hyland opted for a fiery copper colour, that was styled by hairstylist Ryan Richman, to match her stunning Monique Lhuillier gown. Allan Avendano was behind the actress’ glowing complexion, using E.L.F. Cosmetics products, including the brand’s Camo CC Cream as a base and Mint Melt Eyeshadows in Chocolate Mint. The makeup artist gave a full breakdown here.
Elle Fanning
It was all about old Hollywood glamour for Elle Fanning’s Golden Globes look. The Great actress perfectly complemented her light blue Gucci gown with a sleek bun, sharp cat-eye, and pinky-nude lips. Makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe and hairstylist Lorraine Glynn, who work with Fanning on The Great to create Catherine The Great’s looks, were behind the stunning glam for the evening.
Andra Day
Andra Day, star of The United States Vs. Billie Holiday, wore her auburn-tipped brown curls in a stunning messy-looking bun piled on top of her head. She kept her makeup bold with a fuchsia lip and a bronzed highlight on her cheeks.
Anya Taylor-Joy
Letting her custom, sparkling emerald Dior dress bring the glamour, The Queen’s Gambit actress kept her beauty look timeless and minimal. Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell used Dior’s Forever Skin Glow Foundation, a touch of concealer and the cult Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette to create an even and luminous base, paired with a soft smokey eye and taupe lip with the new Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipstick in Promenade.
Julia Garner
For Garner’s Golden Globes red carpet debut, the actress opted for a striking beauty look to match her deep-cut Prada gown. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo shared a closer look at Garner’s enviable beauty which featured a red lip and arched-to-perfection eyebrows.
Margot Robbie
The Aussie actress kept to her signature look for the Golden Globes, wearing her iconic blonde tresses in loose curls with a bold rouge lip from Chanel Beauty. Makeup artist Patti Dubroff layered a few of the brand’s iconic shades to find the perfect colour for Robbie’s appearance, where she presented the film Promising Young Woman.
Cynthia Erivo
To complement her bold Valentino couture dress, Cynthia Erivo went as equally bold with her hair and makeup. The actress wore a pinky nude lip, negative brows, and fluttery lashes with a hint of purple liner to top it all off.
Tiffany Haddish
For the occasion, the actress debuted a new honey blonde pixie cut created by celebrity hairstylist Ray Christopher and matching bronze and golden makeup.
Nicola Coughlan
The Bridgerton actress chose to go bold for her first-ever Golden Globes appearance, matching her Molly Goddard yellow tulle dress and cardigan to an electric pink eyeshadow. Hairstylist Halley Brisker was behind the perfectly tousled bob, while makeup artist Neil Young created the fluorescent pink eyes.
