Whether she’s slaying the red carpet or killing it on the court, Serena Williams always looks amazing.
From her fierce Wimbledon outfits, to post-match hair transformations, the 38-year-old offers plenty of style and beauty inspiration.
So you can imagine our delight when the tennis star recently named some of her favourite beauty products, including her go-to foundation.
“In the past, I’ve always had to mix different foundation colours to find my perfect match,” Williams told The Strategist.
“But this product does a really good job matching my skin all on its own,” she said, referencing Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Stick ($72, bobbibrown.com.au).
Bobbi Brown is one of few brands (honourable mentions must also go to Estée Lauder and M.A.C) that has consistently offered a wide range of foundation shades for years, with this particular product available in 43.
It seems the stick format also suits the mum-of-one, who admits, “I do my makeup really fast every morning because I’m always in a rush.”
As for the punchy lip colour Williams reaches for when she has a meeting or event, it has to be Pat McGrath’s MatteTrance Lipstick in Forbidden Love ($63, patmcgrath.com).
“It’s just enough to feel ‘done up’,” she said. “And it’s also very versatile — if need be, I’ll use it as a blush on my cheeks, as well as on my lips.”
