File this under ‘hair transformations we did not see coming’: Selena Gomez has blonde hair now. The singer stepped onto the 2017 American Music Awards red carpet just now with her traffic-stopping new style, and we cannot stop staring.
Gomez has gone with a shoulder-grazing, textured lob to show off her new blonde, complete with deep side part. Skeptics would say it’s a wig, but given her caramel roots and the way her hair is falling, we’re prepared to go all in and declare it a bona fide dye job. New boyfriend, new hair?

Gomez’s longtime hairdresser, Marissa Marino, posted the above image to her Instagram, with the caption, “Guess who’s a BLONDE.” She credits hair colourist Nikki Lee for the dramatic change.
