In that it solves your biggest mascara woes

Leave it to Peter Philips, Dior Make-upโ€™s inimitable creative and image director, to create the mascara weโ€™ve all been waiting for.

His latest invention, the Dior Pump & Volume mascara, is unlike any other: thanks to a squeezable tube, it delivers a precise dose of inky black to the brush (no more overloading lashes with product) and does away with the problem of clumpy lashes FOR GOOD.

How? Backstage in Paris for Diorโ€™s A/W โ€˜17/โ€™18 ready-to-wear show, Philips debuted his nifty new toy, explaining to Allure that heating dry, old mascara gives it a second lease on life.

โ€œWhen this happened to my mother, sheโ€™d put her tube of mascara in a cup of warm water to loosen it up, which is something I still do today,โ€ Philips explained. The new Dior Pump & Volume tube is indented so you can squeeze it with your thumbs to warm up the formula for the same effect. Told you it was genius.

Diorโ€™s new mascara hits shelves in Australia on May 29. Until then, weโ€™ll be doing as Philips does to revive the ones we have at home.
