We’ve waited a long time for this – 70 years in fact – but come September we can finally own an affordable piece of the legendary brand, when Louis Vuitton releases Les Parfums Louis Vuitton.
While fragrance is not a first for the brand, its last releases were Reminiscences and Eau de Vogage in 1946, so you could say it was time for an update.
The reinvention promises to be an olfactory delight, created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. And, while the bottle and face of the fragrance are yet to be announced we can reveal that is has notes of leather to reflect the smell of the beige leather found on the handles of LV handbags, balanced with May Rose and Jasmine, extracted via a high-tech world-wide first supercritical carbon dioxide extraction process.
As usual, Louis Vuitton has created something that even with details shrouded in mystery has us all wanting to be on the wait list. Watch this space.
