The super-luxe La Mer is about to launch a complexion range, and, after a week of testing, we can tell you that it is beyond (the products haven’t managed to make the journey from our desk to the beauty cupboard …)

Launching October 2, the collection is infused with the company’s legendary anti-ageing, skin-perfecting Miracle Broth and consists of the Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation (weightless, velvety, amazing), Concealer (melts right into skin), Powder (practically invisible), plus two brushes (foundation and powder).

Prices start at $110 for a brush and go up to $200 for the foundation.

Yes, it’s a decadent treat, but if you apply the cost-per-wear theory, it actually maybe-sorta-kinda makes sense. Trust us
