It seems that Kylie Jenner’s empire knows no limits. Since taking the beauty world by storm in 2015 with her eponymous makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, the beauty mogul has left her mark on the millennial zeitgeist – and it’s safe to say she’s far from finished. Taking to Instagram to confirm the long-awaited news, Jenner announced that she will be launching her own skincare line, in addition to her billion-dollar cosmetic empire, called ‘Kylie Skin By Kylie Jenner’. What Is ‘Kylie Skin’?
The 21-year-old announced that her skincare range is ‘cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben and sulfate free and suitable for all skin types.’ Of course, Kylie Skin already has its own dedicated Instagram account (which has amassed nearly one million followers and counting) implying that it will be a separate business venture from Kylie Cosmetics.
Anticipation for the release couldn’t be higher but there’s a still a lot we don’t know about Jenner’s upcoming beauty line. But rest assured, more will be revealed closer to the launch date. Jenner has taken to social media to provide fans with sneak peeks via her Instagram stories and reiterate that her new line of products is unlike any other on the market. For example, the face moisturiser includes blue light protection, since “technology on your phone screen is damaging for skin” and Vitamin C serum is also the “first of many”.
What Products Can We Expect?
The Kylie Skin Instagram account first posted a photo of the bottom of a bottle of Foaming Face Wash alongside the caption “first step”, hinting that she would be launching a cleanser. However, Jenner later revealed that the first release will include six products — foaming face wash, walnut face scrub, vanilla milk toner, face moisturiser, Vitamin C serum, and eye cream.
When Is Kylie Skin Launching?
Mark your calendars because May 22 is the day the line of products will be available for purchase. And if it’s anything like the resounding success of Kylie Cosmetics, we have no doubt that the products to be swiped up within minutes of launching.
How Much Does It Cost?
Jenner’s skincare line is surprisingly affordable, with each individual item priced under $50 AUD. As per the Instagram caption, the prices are as follows: the Foaming Face Wash will be $34, the Walnut Face Scrub will be $31, the Vanilla Milk Toner will be $43 the Vitamin C Serum will be $40, the Face Moisturiser will be $34, the Eye Cream will be $27. The full set will cost you $180, which if you break it down, works out to be $30 a piece.
