The man who did Kim Kardashian’s wedding day make-up has a message for you: you’re highlighting wrong.
Celebrity make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic (you may know him by his Instagram handle, @makeupbymario) spilled his highlighting hack to UK beauty media overnight, while at the launch of Nip + Fab’s new palettes.
According to Mario, it’s all well and good to highlight the high points of cheekbones and cupid’s bow, as we’ve dutifully passed on to you in the past. But we should also, as it turns out, be highlighting two rather surprising places: the corner of our forehead, to be exact, and our chins.
“I like to apply a tiny bit of highlighter on the corner of my client’s forehead,” Mario explains. “That way, when they move their head on the red carpet it looks like their skin is really glowing.”
By the same token, Mario advises applying just a smidgeon of highlighter to the corner of the chin (not centre!) for a lit-from-within glow.
