In case you haven’t been keeping up, Kim Kardashian isn’t here for people making fun of skin. On several occasions, the beauty mogul has spoken about her struggle with psoriasis (an autoimmune skin condition) which she has been battling since 2011. Most recently, Kim shared a series of photos revealing the toll it takes on her skin, including a selfie which shows her sores covered in a healing ointment.
Earlier this month, Kim took a tabloid publication to task over a headline which reads: “Makeup mogul suffers bad skin day in LA ahead of Master Class beauty seminar.”
And given that it’s one of the most common autoimmune diseases in the world—affecting 7.5 million people in the United States alone—it’s nice that someone with such a large platform is consistently so open about struggling with it, and is another example of how talking about her insecurities makes Kim totally relatable.
