Anyone who knows anything about makeup knows that a natural look is anything but natural. And Kim Kardashian West’s MTV Video Music Award proves just that.
Kim’s makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, inspired by his recent trip to Hawaii, went for a bronze and soft “summery” look for the reality star, and used 12 products totaling over $600.
So just incase you want to achieve Kim’s red carpet look, or even just her pretty nude lip, here are all the products that were used.
1 As any beauty lover can attest to, a flawless face starts with the base. Mario used Laura Mercier Inufsion de Rose Nourishing Creme for that lit-from-within glow.
2 Next step, foundation. Mario applied Laura Mercier’s Candleglow Foundation in the shade ‘maple’ for all over coverage.
3 Mario then set the foundation with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder to keep Kim’s makeup from melting under the flashing paparazzi lights. And her Lumee selfie case, of course.
4 It wouldn’t be a Kardashian glam look without contouring. To give depth to Kim’s nose, hairline and cheekbones, Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in bronze was used…
5 …before sweeping Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in the shade ‘peach whisper’.
6 Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Addiction was used in the corner of Kim’s eyes, her cupid bow, collarbone, chest and legs.
7 Mario then used the same illuminator in the shade ‘devotion’ to highlight Kim’s cheeks.
8 For that smokey bronze look, Mario applied the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in ‘sand glow’ all over Kim’s lids.
9 To add dimension, Mario went in with ‘copper’ from the Laura Mercier Eye Art Caviar Colour-Inspired Palette on the outer corners of her eyes.
10 To give density to Kim’s brows, Mario brushed the Laura Mercier Brow Dimension Fiber Infused Colour Gel in brunette throw her eyebrows for a more dramatic look.
11 And now, the ultimate nude lip! Mario filled Kim’s lips in with Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in ‘hazelnut tea’ before applying Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip in ‘sensual’.
12 Kim’s look was finished off with Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist to keep everything fresh and in place.
Not too hard, right…?
