As per usual, Jennifer Lopez knows how to set trends when it comes to both her style and her beauty looks.
And while her recent curtain fringe set the tone for summer beauty trends, this time, it’s her latest hairstyle that’s spicing up our lives—and yes, it’s reminiscent of a certain ’90s girl group we all know and love.
Taking to Instagram, Lopez’s hairstylist, Chris Appleton, showed off his latest look on her. Sitting in what appears to be a movie trailer, the musician had her hair pulled up into very nostalgic space buns, parted right down the middle part with two thick pieces framing her face. Lopez also paired the look back with a smoky brown eye, flushed cheeks, and a rosy pink pout.
“Spicy🌶 @jlo,” Appleton’s caption read, referencing Spice Girl member Mel B, who often wore her hair in the double-bun style.
However, this isn’t the first time that Lopez has donned the ’90s-inspired look. On November 6, Lopez shared a throwback video of one her early performances of her hit-song “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” where she’s also seen sporting the hairstyle. For the iconic performance, Lopez also wore a metallic silver top, black cargo pants, and her signature hoop earrings.
“LOVE DON’T COST A THING 🎤🎼 #TBT,” Lopez captioned the clip.
While it’s the project she’s working on was not stipulated, it’s a safe bet that she’s currently in the midst of filming Marry Me, her latest film alongside Owen Wilson and Colombian musician Maluma.
