Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, it’s hard not to notice Jennifer Lopez’s radiant complexion. So naturally, fans and skin-owners a like have always been desperately curious on how she keeps her skin consistently looking flawless.
Taking to her Instagram, the Marry Me star updated her 202 million followers of her four-step process that she does every morning without fail.
According to Lopez, the routine itself only takes five minutes and starts when she’s in the shower. While bathing, she makes sure to cleanse her face with her JLo Beauty ‘That Hit Single’ gel-cream cleanser. Once out of the shower, and wrapped up in the comfiest of robes, Lopez explains her next step—serum.
Smothering her skin in her brand’s ‘That JLo Glow’ serum, she explains how she makes sure to apply the product in the morning and at night. As for the serum, it’s jam-packed with an “antioxidant-rich, 4-part olive blend of squalane, fermented oil, extra virgin oil, and leaf extract,” as per the JLo Beauty website.
“Putting on my serum as usual—morning and night. Vitamins for the face. I like to think of it like taking my vitamins first thing in the morning,” she explains in the video. She then shows her fans how she lets the serum “soak in” and “tighten” before she proceeds to her most vital step, applying her ‘That Big Screen’ moisturiser with SPF 30.

Once applied—and with 40 seconds left on the clock—Lopez makes sure to replace her supplements with her ‘That Fresh Take’ eye cream. She applies the product under her eyes, and in a rather perplexing location, between her eyebrows.
“It’s always nice to have a little extra moisture around those places,” she said to the video, before explaining that doing so means that her makeup won’t get “cakey” throughout the day.
Now, while her skincare application might be over and done with, she always makes sure that she takes time to speak words of affirmation in front of a mirror. In fact, to make sure that she doesn’t forget, she keeps her box of affirmations by the shower.
“[I] feed my mind first, my soul, with an affirmation,” she said. “Not looking at the phone yet, just setting myself up right for the day with the right intentions and the right thoughts… being positive. And then the next thing: skin care.”
Ending the video, she leaves fans on a positive note by saying, “It’s going to be a beautiful day. I choose happiness”. And with that, we hope the same for us all too.
