The world’s first official Instagram Rich List has just been released, and the results are eye-opening to say the least. We knew Instagram’s elite made tidy sums from their casual vacay snaps and makeup-promoting selfies, but this much? Let’s just say it has us rethinking our life choices.
The list, which is divided into celebrity and influencer categories and was compiled by Instagram scheduling site Hopper HQ, is rich in the usual suspects – think every Kardashian bar Rob (predictable), Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, but it’s the influencer list that’s got people talking.
The number one Instagram influencer? Huda Kattan – a 33-year-old Dubai-based beauty blogger with 20.7 million followers to her name. After quitting her finance job in “the Wall Street of Dubai”, according to her website, Kattan enrolled in an LA make-up course and started her Instagram account, Huda Beauty, in 2010. Flash forward to 2017 and she’s raking in approximately £14,000 (that’s a tidy $AUD23,700) per post. We’re guessing that trumps even what the Wall Street suits are pulling in for an equivalent amount of work.
Kattan has recently launched her own make-up line, Huda Beauty, famed for its false lashes, lip products and highlighter. See more of her work below:
Vine star Cameron Dallas is second on the list, with 19.8 million followers and $AUD29,000 per post, followed by American fitspo model Jen Selter at number three (11.3 mill followers and $20,000 per post).
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez is the world’s highest paid insta-star, raking in a whopping potential $AUD720,000 per post. She’s followed by Kim Kardashian, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner in the top five.
