Stuck in a hair rut? Before you chop off your lengths or spend squillions on balayage, try this simple trick: change your part.
With a quick flick of a comb (or even your fingers), a different part can transform your entire look. โA simple flick in the opposite direction can take you from desk to downtime in a flash,โ says Sydney hair stylist Barney Martin.

Relaxed centre parts, with a few misplaced strands here and there, are making a comeback โ and Barney says they suit most face shapes. โI would recommend anyone with a very round face to go for more of a side part as a centre part can make the face look wider,โ he cautions. โSquare faces are [also] softened with a slight side part.โ

Take your cues from the following stars who regularly shake things up in the part department. But a word of warning before you proceed: always tell your hairdresser if you plan on switching up your part. โThis is essential so your stylist can incorporate this into your hair cut,โ says Barney.
