Miller wore hers to exit stage left from London’s Apollo Theatre, where she stars in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, while Lorde’s VMAs half-up, half-down topknot proved the look works equally well for red carpet occasions.

Both Miller and Lorde wore theirs with loose, lightly tousled waves, their hair lending a bohemian vibe to their starkly different outfits – Miller in her off-duty trackpants and navy crew-neck and Lorde in her gauzy violet Monique Lhuillier gown.
