A lipstick change is the fastest way to update your look. From their iconic 999 red, to sophisticated pinks and soft, blushed nudes, find your favourite from Dior’s new Rouge Dior range and put it on high rotation – high impact and long-wearing colour is just a swipe away.
Red Hot
The perfect matte red lip relies on application. “A lip liner in the same shade as your lipstick all over the lip keeps the look matte and holds the colour,” says Jefferyes. “Keep skin minimal and fresh and just curl lashes; you don’t need mascara.”
To find your perfect shade of red, Jeffereys advises pale skin suits blue-based reds, while olive skin tones benefit from orange-tinged reds and deeper shades of ruby.

Heavy Metal
A metallic lipstick might sound full-on but it’s actually super flattering, gold flecks define lips beautifully. “Define the lips with a pencil before you apply lipstick,” says Jefferyes. This look benefits from some definition on the eyelids using an eyeshadow in the same shade family. “It adds life to the eyes.”

Two Way
Why pick just one lipstick when you can choose two? Experimenting with two colours needn’t be reserved only for the truly courageous. Select complementary shades then apply the lighter shade to the area you want to look more full.
“Using two shades is very wearable if you keep the texture the same for both shades,” says Jefferyes. “Lighter shades make things appear bigger, while darker shades will make the lip smaller, so do what works for your lips.”

Tone on Tone
Smudgey, taupey tones on lips, eyes and cheeks look beautiful. “Blend in well so it’s seamless,” says Jefferyes, who suggests ditching lip liner and using a small eye brush to blur your lipstick line. Then keep the colour going up to the eyes. “Then use your brush to apply a wash of lipstick over eyelids.”
Looking for a wearable taupe? Dior’s universally loved Icône shade with its velvet finish is a constant sellout.

Pretty Nudes
The perfect neutral shade will take you from morning to night. Seek out rosy shades, which suit just about every skin type. “Those with darker skin should look for shades of rose with more depth,” says Jefferyes, who suggests a matte lipstick to keep the look modern. Pair with brushed-up natural brows and a veneer of warm colour over the lids. “Warm brown eyeshadow works well,” says Jefferyes. “Team with curled lashes.”
