But when it comes to eye cream, the answer is a definite yes – and not just because it feels that much better.
“The fact that it’s cold helps to vasoconstrict and may help with puffiness,” Dr Elizabeth Tanzi, associate clinical professor at the George Washington University Medical Centre’s department at dermatology, told Allure.

Eye gels and creams, particularly those designed to de-puff, will work better if kept in the fridge. It’s also thought that applying cool products to the under-eye area may soothe the area, reduce redness and help with any discomfort.
