The model, singer and former Miss World Australia is frequently on planes and in exotic locations. She reveals her skincare routine and tells us all about how a cancer scare made her a sunscreen devotee.
HER DAILY ROUTINE
“I’ll do a deep cleanse in the morning, then I apply Neutrogena Hydro Boost SPF, which hydrates, moisturizes and is a really great primer [Holland is an ambassador for Neutrogena Suncare]. At night, I wash everything off, apply serums then moisturize.”
HER FLYING TIP
“I do a lot of flying, so my skin gets dry. If it’s a long flight, I won’t wear any make-up, I will just put on a heavy-duty moisturiser [and then] I’ll wake up and won’t feel so bad.”
SHE’S A SUNSCREEN ENTHUSIAST
“I wear sun protection every day,” says the Neutrogena Sun Care ambassador. “I grew up in Cairns in North Queensland, so I am used to protecting against the sun and my mum has always pressed upon me how important it is to apply sunscreen. I am very fair naturally (I am all about the faux glow!). My mum and dad have had a few scares with pre-cancerous melanoma. It was very scary and I have even had a few moles cut out myself. I make sure that I get a mole scan every twelve months. So, I am acutely aware.”
HER GO-TO FACIAL
“I like to go to Endota Spa [Holland is also an Endota Spa ambassador] for the Intense New Age Light Therapy Facial [$220-$275]. It’s a great treatment of glycolic peel, hydro-dermabrasion to infuse moisture and red-light therapy, which helps reduce inflammation. I go to Endota in Paddington [Sydney] but they have them all over Australia, so if I go to Brisbane to visit Ben [Cutting], I go to the Endota on James Street.”
BEACH MAKE-UP
“I don’t like to wear a lot of make-up on holidays. I mix a bit of foundation into my sunscreen, then it’s just mascara and brow mascara (I’m a natural blonde so I need to keep my brows the same colour as my hair!), Endota Natural Lip & Cheek Tint and a bronzer, which I use as an eyeshadow too.”
