If you haven’t given Dior’s iconic Rosy Glow Blush a try, now might be your moment because the range has just added four new shades to its pink and coral originals.
The original Rosy Glow Blush launched over 10 years ago to a frenzied response. “It literally grew into a cult product, creating shockwaves over social media,” explained Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director, Peter Philips. One only needs to Google the beloved Dior blush to see it’s rave reviews.
So, what’s the secret behind the beloved blush?
Thanks to the clever “colour reviver” technology, Dior Rosy Glow is loved for its ability to look like your very own flush. Rosy Glow contains an ingredient called ‘eosin’, which reportedly reacts to the pH and humidity levels in our skin, adding a natural, healthy glow, no matter what your skin type.
Now, the luxury beauty and fashion house has expanded the best-selling product’s colour range in an attempt to cater to a greater variety of skin tones.
For the August issue of marie claire, we worked with all six shades across our beauty shoot, including the four new additions: Berry, Cherry, Mahogany and Rosewood (the marie claire beauty team’s current obsession). We matched each blush to its identical shade in Dior’s Addict Lip Maximizer, and the cult followed Lip Glow and Lip Glow Oil. Here’s everything else you need to know to get the looks…
Natural Flush
Warm and natural, this look is ideal for adding some daytime colour that seems to come from within. “Use a soft brush to sweep this rosy shade across cheekbones,” advises make-up artist Linda Jefferyes.
“Sweep up brows and add some lip oil to keep the softness going. It’s basically foolproof.”

Ready For Impact
Add punchy warmth to your blush with a contrasting shade around mascara coated eyelashes.
Blend colour meticulously for a seamless transition, and then apply a natural-toned gloss or balm to keep it wearable.

Blushing Cherry
Bright shades of cherry and fuchsia can take your blush from understated to showstopper. “Blend small amounts up to the hairline, adding colour until you get your desired intensity,” Jefferyes adds.

Pretty in Pink
Flawlessly pretty blush calls for plenty of blending. Use a soft blush brush to add a sweeping wide shape that works towards the hairline.
“Blend it over the eyelids and forgo mascara to keep the look soft and sweet,” notes Jefferyes, who also used a pink-tinged lip oil to finish the look.

Taupe Tones
Utterly flattering, brown tones are your fall back blush look for any day of the week.
“You can apply it just over your cheekbones or add a light sweep across your nose for a sun-kissed glow,” suggests Jefferyes.
Use a small eyeshadow brush to add a hint of blush below the lower lashes and give lips a pop with a similar-toned lip balm.

Mauve It
Plum and purple tinged shades of blush lend dramatic and flattering warmth to medium and dark skin tones.
“Blend it over eyelids and into the inner corners of the eyes, then sweep the colour towards the hairline,” Jefferyes recommends. Skip mascara but add a shiny oil to lips.
