Deva Cassel Is The Face Of Dolce & Gabbana’s Newest Fragrance, Dolce Rose

A match made in heaven.

With French and Italian heritage and a personal history with Dolce & Gabbana, Deva Cassel was born to be the face of the brand’s newest fragrance, Dolce Rose.

The Muse 

At only 16 years old, Deva Cassel is an It-girl in the making. With her luminous skin and dark brunette curls, she clearly shares the genes of her star-studded parents, French actor father Vincent Cassel and Italian actor and model mother Monica Bellucci. With such a pedigree, and the fact that her mother launched her own career as ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana, it’s no wonder the brand chose Rome-born Cassel as the face of its popular Dolce Collection fragrance line. “I had met Domenico and Stefano not that long [before] I found out that they had chosen me to be the ambassador of the brand – I was so surprised,” says Cassel. “The more I work with them, the more I realise that the relationships they establish with the people they work with are not just business, but more like being part of a family.”

The Fragrance. 

If you love rose scents but want a more modern take, Dolce Rose gives all the richness of rose with a vibrant, youthful vibe. Opening with sweet notes of green apple and mandarin, the scent then shares its rosy heart of crisp rose centifolia (it’s what makes the scent fresh and new) and the more traditional powdery notes of rose absolute, which mingle with juicy notes of white peach and magnolia before drying down to sensual notes of musk, white woods  and sandalwood. This upbeat feel perfectly optimises the Dolce Rose girl, who Cassel says is “dynamic, curious and positive”. “I definitely see myself as an optimistic and an energetic person.”

The Campaign. 

It’s hard to get away these days but you can satisfy your European fix with the stunning scenery captured in the campaign for Dolce Rose. It was shot in the Italian city of Bellagio, which juts out over the pristine blue waters of Lake Como. The campaign lets you feast your eyes on the rose-lined streets, take in the lake views from afar and dream of visiting some day.

The Dance. 

To celebrate Dolce Rose, Cassel posted a dance challenge on the brand’s TikTok account, encouraging fans to recreate it with their #RoseAttitude. “It was a real experience because I’d used TikTok before but I’d never posted anything,” says Cassel.
