Why Creed’s New Eladaria Fragrance Is Worth The Investment

There's a new scent in the house

There’s fragrance, and then there’s the House of Creed. The luxury French fragrance house is dedicated to the creation of artisan fragrances for both men and women. For Autumn 2025, they’ve dreamt up Eladaria, a modern rose fragrance that captures nature awakening at first light. For many (especially if you’re in the 5am Club), it’s the most promising moment of the day, when anything feels possible.

“We don’t need people who make 20 perfumes in a year,” Erwin Creed, the seventh-generation heir of the Creed family, has said of the house’s niche approach to fragrance. Since 1760, when Creed began as tailors for the English Court before expanding into haute parfumerie, the house has prioritised quality over quantity. Eladaria is no different.

Eladaria embodies this philosophy as a true “Millésime” perfume – a term borrowed from French winemaking denoting exceptional quality. Each bottle represents artisanal craftsmanship using premium ingredients that capture a moment in time.

Garden in a bottle

Eladaria opens with bright mandarin and bergamot splashed with pink pepper – like first sunlight cutting through morning mist. The effect is immediately refreshing and attention-grabbing.

At its heart lies Creed’s signature innovation: a trilogy of roses (Centifolia, Damascena, and a soft rose accord) that bloom alongside peony and lily of the valley. Together they create a plush, petal-soft effect that feels both classic and unexpected.

Yet, what really sets Eladaria apart is its sophisticated base. Cashmere wood, vanilla, ambroxan, and musk provide a warm foundation that transforms the typically cool character of rose, giving it a subtle metallic edge that feels distinctly modern.

Versatile luxury

Eladaria bridges worlds effortlessly. Its citrus brightness makes it appropriate for daytime wear, while the warm wood and musk base creates enough depth for evening occasions.

Eladaria stands out by neither overwhelming nor underwhelming – it makes its presence known with quiet confidence rather than shouting for attention. The fragrance evolves on skin throughout the day, revealing different facets as the day unfolds.

Ultimately, Eladaria succeeds where many modern fragrances fail: it’s sophisticated without stuffiness, feminine without frilliness, and luxurious without ostentation.

The best kept secret of the perfume world

The House of Creed has long been described as a “best-kept secret of the perfume world”, which feels ironic given it’s hardly a secret. From monarchs to Hollywood icons, Creed’s scents have been spritzed by some of the world’s most famous people.

Take ‘Spring Flower’, the floral scent specifically crafted for Audrey Hepburn. Its appeal is enduring – Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow are now known to wear the scent. And when Grace Kelly prepared to become Princess of Monaco, she received the delicate ‘Fleurissimo’ as her wedding fragrance.

Men have been charmed too. While once the fragrances were worn by Winston Churchill and Frank Sinatra, they’re now said to be loved by celebrities such as David Beckham and Hugh Grant.

With Eladaria, the House of Creed has once again shown us why it remains the benchmark for luxury perfumery after more than 250 years.
