Solution-based supplement brand FixBIOME prides itself on having an education-first platform and a natural approach to gut health. It’s a vision the brand‘s founder, Jasmine Chilcott, has carried with her since its inception and a major reason behind its success.
We sat down with Jasmin to chat about the brand from humble beginnings to unexpected learning curves.
The Inspiration
“FixBIOME came from my personal struggle with gut health, which impacted everything from my skin and hair to energy and mood. Despite having access to expert advice (my family’s background is in medicine) I faced many misdiagnoses and tried lots of treatments that simply didn’t work. I set out to learn why and [then see] how I could use what I had learnt to create something different. I was essentially just trying to solve my own problem,” Jasmine tells us.

“Our community remains at the heart of our brand and is why we do what we do. FixBIOME started as an education platform, hoping to empower individuals with top research and raise awareness of gut health. We developed the FixBIOME system with doctors, naturopaths and formulation experts based on new research on natural ingredients for gut health. We strive to make a difference.”
Target Market
“Our customer is twofold. The complete FixBIOME gut health course is designed for people with existing gut issues. That might look like bloating, irregular bowel movements, food intolerances, skin issues, weight issues or low energy and mood. The Gut Fix [capsules], which form part of the system, can be used alone by anyone looking to enhance overall gut health. Gut Fix supports daily digestive function and provides the intestinal cells and lining with what it needs to turn over, which happens every few days.”
Tailored Approach
“Standard tablet manufacturing practices are set up for absorption into the blood. But with the gut, we want the supplement to stay in there and stand up against things like stomach acid. So we designed our supplements specifically for this.”
Learning Curves
“At one point early on, an entire product run had half the capsules burst. This was due to active ingredients that were too strong and dissolved the capsules. Learning to manage a supply chain with so many ingredients and strict requirements on the type of quality we expect has also been challenging.”

New Findings
“One perk I’ve enjoyed is being at the forefront of research. We’re learning the gut’s connections to mental health, skin and major diseases, and it only continues to grow stronger. Early research revealed the gut could be playing a role in the development of endometriosis. This is something we’ve also observed with our own customers, who are experiencing period-related concerns and gut issues. I hope to explore this relationship further.”
