If you don’t know Angèle right now, you will soon. Putting out anthems that speak to her mind, Belgian singer-songwriter Angèle is something of a phenomenon.
Appointed Beauty and Fashion Ambassador of the House in 2020, Angèle has been the face of many of Chanel campaigns. She also wore fashion from the Chanel archives for her “Twenty Five” world tour in 2022 and 2023, where the pop star was able to literally raid Chanel’s archives. And now she’s partnering with the House for its biggest fragrance launch of 2025.

This month Angèle is partnering with Chanel Beauty for the launch of Chanel CHANCE Eau Splendide, the latest iteration of the brand’s much-loved Chance fragrance collection, first created by House perfumer Olivier Polge in 2003.

Rising to fame after she self-released her first album Brol in 2018, the 29-year-old star is now a household name in Europe and a major player on the French music scene.
Having collaborated with both Dua Lipa and rapper Damso, as well as performed alongside Phoenix in a standout performance for closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, this new venture with Chanel has seen the creative not just front the campaign but also write a single. A Little More is now the soundtrack to the campaign film, directed by Amelie director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It depicts Angèle wandering into a fairground hall of mirrors which beckons her to take her chance.

A fresh and lively fragrance, Chance Eau Splendide is a fruity floral blend of raspberry accord, violet and a floral heart of rose geranium (partly grown in the Chanel fields in Grasse). The dry-down gives sumptuous musk, woody notes and powdery iris notes which last a long time and feels new for the Chance collection, which includes the original floral, Chance Eau De Parfum, and its newer recruits, Chance Eau Tendre and fresh green noted scent Chance Eau Fraiche. Each has its own colour, so it was important for Polge to find a new identity for Eau Splendide.
“It was important that Chance Eau Splendide also had its own territory,” says Polge. “After completing the formula, we smelt the fragrance. Purple came to mind naturally, almost instinctively. It conveys the fresh and fruity impression of the raspberry Accord, and also expresses the more mysterious and complex floral aspect of the fragrance.”

Dynamic, free-spirited and energetic, Angèle mirrors the sentiment of the fragrance perfectly. Daring you to be bold and take a chance, his is a scent that almost guarantees you’ll feel more positive once you’ve spritzed it on.
